Microsoft Pauses Release of New Copilot Features to Fine-Tune based on User Feedback and Windows Insider Preview Build 22635.3570 Released

Microsoft pauses development of upcoming Copilot features to enhance them

Microsoft has recently paused the release of new features for Copilot in order to fine-tune them based on user feedback. The company will be hosting its annual developer conference, Microsoft Build, from May 21 to May 23, where more details and updates about AI technology and its assistant are expected to be shared.

In addition, Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3570 (KB5037008) in the Beta channel, which includes bug fixes from the previous version. The company has been testing different experiences for Copilot on Windows, including a new capability that allows it to act as a normal application window and display a dynamic taskbar icon.

However, Microsoft has decided to delay the deployment of these experiences in order to further refine them using user feedback. Copilot on Windows will continue to work as expected while Microsoft continues to develop new ideas with participants of the Windows Insider program.

The company also announced that it will document changes in the Windows Beta Channel builds in two groups: one for new features, improvements, and fixes being gradually rolled out and another for updates and new features available to everyone in the Beta Channel. These changes will be implemented gradually and will be optional for users.

Some of the corrections currently being implemented in the Beta Channel include fixes for wide spaces between desktop icons and unexpected address bar menus while using File Explorer, among others.
